10.3.07 Day 2 SF

Again a beautiful day in the city. Seriously did I luck out here with the weather. I walked about 2 1/2 miles in super tech mode.... Bluetooth in one ear, Ipod in the other... absolutely enjoying the day... to Tadich Grill. Well, I do consider myself a "foodie" but had never heard of the oldest restaurant in SF. My dad was so excited about the Cioppino, I could see where I get my excitement for food. He kept saying as we stood over people at the long (famous) counter... oh, and the bread is so good. Pretty funny. I had clam chowder (super rich) and a dinner salad with crab and shrimp. Really good- great overall atmosphere. I am glad we went there. No dessert though. I thought I'd be having ice cream later. Then to work. I spent an hour or so emailing and talking on the phone before visiting the two SF Whole Foods. Looks like the Franklin store is still not carrying Ruby Jewel's. Well, I had a good long talk with a freezer guy and he explained that it's one of the biggest stores with the least amount of space. And that was obvious. We will have to be a much more recognizable name before we make it onto that shelf. I should try to convince them to carry our two biggest sellers- anyone reading this know what they are? Then dinner to go with Aunt Gail. The most disappointing In-n-out burger ever. Who was at fault? Hmm.... She took my order "A cheese burger with grilled onions and pickles" So there it came a burger with ONLY grilled onions and pickles. No sauce, no lettuce, no tomatoes. I should take my own advice when I say, "Be specific and you'll be terrific" And, no more order the in-n-out, drive home and eat it. It was cold. No bueno. No worries, I have 6 more days in California. No doubt there will be more In-n-out experiences.
